Queen Belle Elizabeth

I love my baby more than any baby in the whole wide world. She's gorgeous, sweet, fun, and most of all... she's mine. It is one of my greatest joys to see her grow. The past 5 months have gone by so fast. Here are a few things that I have noticed about Miss Belle since October '06. (1) She loves to be "in the mix. She wants to know what every one is doing and takes on somewhat of a supervisor/managerial role when others are around her. (2) She loves the camera (and of course, the camera loves her). (3) She has an independent and strong will... I love dreaming about who Belle will be and what she will do with her life. I think that she is a super star and is going to do great things.

Carpe Diem!

I love God. I want to know Him more, spend more time with Him, and live a life where people want to know God because they know me. I say that He's 'number one' in my life, but when it comes to spending time with Him every day, it doesn't happen. Sure, I talk to God throughout the day, but that discipline of reading often slips through my day planner and onto "tomorrow".... Here's a quote that I LOVE and want to remember every day.

O, begin! Fix some part of every day for private exercises... Whether you like it or no, read and pray daily. It is your life; there is no other way: else you will be a trifler all your days... Do justice to your own soul; give it time and means to grow. Do not starve yourself any longer.

I love my husband

The is my first post and I'm not sure where to start. So, I'll start with the fact that I love Jackson Perdue. He's great. Jackson makes me better and brings so much joy to my life. On Monday (Febuary 25th) I was driving and listening to KLOVE and a song came on the radio entitiled, "Walk Her Home" by Mark Schultz. After less than a minute of listening to the song, I almost had to pull over because I couldn't see through a blur of tears. This song is beautiful, and makes me think of how much I love God and Jackson. I can't wait to go "home", and I can't imagine a better man than Jackson Perdue to walk me home someday. Here are the lyrics:

Mark Schultz - Walk Her Home From the album Walk Her Home

Looking back He sees it all It was her first date the night he came to call Her dad said son Have her home on time And promise me you’ll never leave her side
The way she laughed, the dress she wore He’d never felt like this before
Chorus:He was walking her home And holding her handOh the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him Down that old road With the stars up above He remembers where he was the night he fell in love He was walking her home
Ten more years and a waiting room At half past one And the doctor said come in and meet your son
His knees went weak When he saw his wife She was smiling as she said he’s got your eyes
And as she slept he held her tightHis mind went back to that first night
Chorus:
Bridge:He walked her through the best days of her life Sixty years together and he never left her side
A nursing home At eighty-five And the doctor said it could be her last night
And the nurse said Oh Should we tell him now Or should he wait until the morning to find out
But when they checked her room that night He was laying by her side
Chorus:
He was walking her home And holding her hand Oh the way she smiled it stole the breath right out of him Down that old road With the stars up above He remembers where he was the night he fell in love He was walking her home
Looking back He sees it all It was her first date the night he came to call...
